Victorian Silver Tea Service T.922


An early Victorian 3 piece silver tea service of fluted melon shape on 4 cast shell feet with leaf capped scroll handles and applied reed and tie borders. The teapot with a leaf capped fluted spout and domed hinged lid with a flower finial, ivory insulation fillets on the handle. Teapot 10.5 inches from handle to spout, engraved on the base with a contemporary presentation inscription dated 1839. 50 troy ounces (1555 grams ). Made in London 1838 by Benjamin Stephens.
