O.286: A George III circular silver teapot on four paw feet with leaf supports, leaf capped scroll handle with floral decoration, the body and domed lid profusely decorated with floral borders, flower finial. cartouche engraved with the initials J.G.S. for John Gilliam Stilwell. A further cartouche verso engraved with the inscription: " To Mr & Mrs John Gilliam Stilwell on their Weddind Day, 7th. June 1831. from Lord Byron, Captain R.N." ( George Anson Byron was the 7th. Baron Byron and inherited his title from the poet George Gordon Byron). Made in London 1801.
